The Southwestern Cheer Squad has experienced dramatic growth for the 2010-2011 cheer season, as 14 new squad members prepare to join the 9 returning members from last year's squad. Members of the new squad attended training camps at Southwestern College and Milford Lake in July to prepare cheers, stunts, and tumbling skills for the upcoming year. The SC Builder Cheer Squad is excited to cheer and stunt in the new stadium, to represent the college, and to lead the crowds in cheering on our SC teams in 2010-2011!

To help in outfitting the larger squad, and to aid in providing transportation to out-of -town sporting events, the SC Cheer Squad will participate in several fundraising activities, beginning with a "Back-to-School" carwash to be held on Saturday, August 28, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Super Wash car wash, located at 1520 Main Street in Winfield. The SC Squad will also soon take orders for personalized car decals, featuring students' names and/or jersey numbers placed on decals highlighting various SC sports, music, drama, and organizational activities.
