Winfield, Kan. – Southwestern College Softball is proud to announce the signing of two players for the 2012-13 school year. Kristina Walker from Salina South High School and Megan Walentynowicz from Cedar Park High School in Texas have signed letters of intent to play for the Lady Builders next season.
"Megan is a great addition to our program", commented Southwestern head coach Amber Good. "She is a utility player with the ability to produce offensively as well. With her work ethic and uplifting attitude we are lucky to add Megan to our line-up."
"Kristina has a lot of speed in the outfield and will add a consistent bat to our line-up", continued Good. "We are fortunate to be adding her to our roster."
Southwestern Softball participated in the NFCA and the American Cancer Society's StrikeOut Cancer program on Wednesday April 13, 2011. The Lady Builder program sold T-shirts as well as collected game day donations and a post game raffle. All money raised went to directly benefit the Reach to Recovery program. Reach to Recovery is a local program consisting of breast cancer survivors who help the local men and women of a nine county region, including Cowely County, work through their fight with breast cancer.
