Women's Indoor Track & Field - Tue, Apr 13, 2010
Southwestern competed in the Pittsburg State meet this past weekend. The women's team arrived in Pittsburg amongst a mostly NCAA DII field of athletes and held their own throughout the weekend.
Anjaih Clemons raced to double victories by winning the 200M Dash (25.50) and in the 400M Dash (57.82) where she earned a "B" standard national qualifier. Anjaih was rewarded with her efforts by being named the KCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week. Paige Carswell won the Long Jump (17-10 3/4) which was also a "B" standard mark. She then finished second in the Triple Jump (37-10). Paige completed the sweep for the women as she won the KCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
