Southwestern competed in the Southwestern Invitational on March 11th which was run at Cowley College due to the stadium renovation project which is taking place at Southwestern.

Alex Hutchins started off the outdoor season with a bang in the Hammer by winning the event and achieving a "B" standard mark.  Carrington Crum also started the outdoor season well by winning the 3000M Steeplechase and finishing fifth in the 5,000M Run despite cool and windy conditions.
