The Southwestern College soccer teams will play their first Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference road games of the season Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Lindsborg to take on the Terrible Swedes of Bethany College. Kick-off for the women's game is slated for 5 p.m. with the men's game following at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Women's Match:
Southwestern (6-3, 2-0 KCAC) at Bethany (3-8, 0-2 KCAC)

About the Moundbuilders...
Southwestern won its second-straight KCAC contest with a 3-2 win over Tabor Saturday afternoon at Jantz Stadium in Winfield. Kaci Hutchinson opened the game with a first-half goal, while Joy Reyes added two more in the second half to lead SC to the victory.

Offensively, the Builders are led by freshman Joy Reyes, who has scored 10 of Southwestern's 28 goals this season. Reyes' 50 shots and 27 shots-on-goal are both team-highs. Sophomore Sierra Meyer has scored six goals on the season.

Southwestern has claimed each of the last three KCAC Offensive Player of the Week Awards. Sierra Meyer was recognized for her hat trick at Manhattan Christian three weeks ago, while Kaci Hutchinson earned the award after a two-goal, one-assist outing two weeks ago against Central Christian. Joy Reyes completed Southwestern's Player of the Week hat trick after scoring both game-winning goals in last week's wins over Friends and Tabor.

Defensively, the Moundbuilders limit opponents to just over 10 shots per game.

Scouting Bethany...
The Bethany Swedes bring a 3-8 overall record, and an 0-2 KCAC mark into Wednesday's contest after opening KCAC play with a pair of losses to Saint Mary and Sterling last week. The Swedes have lost eight of their last nine contests, and are in the middle of a five-match losing streak. Bethany's last win came in a 2-1 decision over Central Christian on Sept.18.

Offensively, the Swedes are led by Shelby Ward and Christina Noonan, who have each scored a team-best three goals this season. Shaunice Huffman has scored two goals, and is the only other Swede with multiple goals in the 2012 season.

Jasmine Zaker and Jessica Shepherd have split time in goal for the Swedes this season. Zaker has allowed 15 goals five starts, while Shepherd has allowed 13 goals in four starts.

Last time these two met, the match resulted in a 2-1 overtime win for the Moundbuilders in Winfield.

About the Moundbuilders...
Southwestern brings a 1-9-1 record into Wednesday's contest. The Moundbuilders' start to KCAC play has been a rough one, with a 10-1 loss to Friends, and an 8-0 loss to Tabor on Saturday. Both matches were played on the Builders' home pitch at Richard L. Jantz Stadium in Winfield.

Jordan Garcia and Jacob Montoya lead a Moundbuilder offensive attack that has scored just seven goals this season. Garcia owns three goals this season, while Montoya has scored twice. Carlos Cruz and Nick Watts have also scored goals. When the Moundbuilders do score, chances are the ball went through Colin Baker at some point. Baker owns a team-best three assists through 10 matches this season.

The Swedes bring a 1-7-1 overall record, and a 1-0-1 mark against KCAC competition into Wednesday's match, but have avoided losses in each of their last two contests. Bethany won its KCAC opener with a 4-1 decision over Saint Mary, then played Sterling to a 1-1 tie on Saturday.

Lewis Collins and Lucas Procopio anchor the Bethany offense. Collins has scored three goals for the Swedes this season, while Procopio has scored two goals for Bethany. The Swede offense has produced just seven goals this season

Kayo Vaz has started six of Bethany's 10 games at keeper. He has allowed 21 goals in just over 650 minutes in goal.
