
Sterling, Kan. - The Lady Builders played in one of the most exciting games of the season and came up just short in overtime 89-85. A furious battle throughout, it took remarkable plays from both squads to provide the fans with a championship game to remember. The statistical difference in the game came at the charity stripe. Sterling College shot 52 free-throws while Southwestern went to the line just 22 times. Sterling was led by league MVP Catheryn Wiebe who finished with 26 points.
Southwestern was led by Freshman Annjelina Robinson who scored 24 points on 9-15 shooting. First Team All-KCAC member Jasmine Manuel finished with 22 points. Tyler Hartfield also scored in double figures with 13 points.
Southwestern finished the season 22-9 overall and 13-5 in KCAC conference play.
