WINFIELD, Kan. – The Southwestern College volleyball team came up on the short end of a four-set decision Saturday afternoon in another Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference match.  The Lady Builders fell (25-8, 13-25, 25-23, 25-19) to the Coyotes of Kansas Wesleyan inside historic Stewart Field House.

Sophomore Amanda Pinter led the Lady Builder offense with nine kills and held a .172 hitting percentage.  Kanami Ellis, a Round Rock, Texas native, was right behind Pinter, putting up eight kills of her own.  Junior setter Catabrean Baumann added four kills of her own in addition to her 27 assists.  Sophomore Rylie Ingram led the way for the Southwestern defense with 26 digs.

As a team, Southwestern hit .019 in the match, putting up a total of 37 kills on 160 attempts.  The Lady Builders were out-blocked by the Coyotes, 18-12.  Freshman Alyxandra Blaker helped the defense with seven assisted blocks for Southwestern. 

The Lady Builders travel to Hillsboro, Kan. to take on the Tabor Blue Jays on September 13th.  The match will take place at 7 p.m.
