WINFIELD, Kan. – After 13 years leading the men's and women's golf programs at Southwestern College, Brad Sexson has announced his resignation as Head Golf Coach, effective immediately, to pursue other opportunities within the Winfield golf community.

"We would like to thank Brad for his 13 years of dedication to the golf programs at Southwestern College," athletic director Matt Shelton said. "While his expertise and golf acumen will be missed, we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his career dreams."

Sexson was no stranger to success as the Builders' head golf coach. In his 13 years, he led Southwestern to seven Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference men's golf championships, and two women's conference titles, and a combined five NAIA Region IV championships. The two programs combined to make 12 NAIA national tournament appearances during his tenure.

A national search is underway to find Southwestern's next golf coach.
