Kierstin Stolley - Southwestern College Sports Information

WINFIELD, Kan.Troy Fort and Landon Fox of Southwestern College have been named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.  The annual awards were announced Friday.

Troy Fort competed in two tournaments this spring.  Fort posted a best round score of 77 at the South Central Kansas Spring Invitational.  He finished 19th in the tournament.

Senior Landon Fox held a 75.0 stroke average this season and recorded a best round score of 71 in the Midwest Spring Fling.  Fox won each of his first four tournaments of the spring season. 

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
