WINFIELD, Kan. – Southwestern College junior Taylor Needham has been named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. The weekly conference awards were announced Monday by KCAC officials.

Needham overcame windy conditions, and posted a season-best time in the 400 Meter Hurdles at Saturday's Everett Kohl Grizzly Invitational, hosted by Butler Community College. The junior posted a time of 1:02.65, which was a season-best, and an NAIA 'A' qualifying mark. Her performance remains atop the KCAC Performance List, and is currently ranked No. 5 in the NAIA this season.

Needham and the Lady Builders will return to action Saturday, traveling to Pittsburg for the David Suenram Gorilla Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State University
