WICHITA, Kan. – Southwestern College junior Jordyn Miller has been named to the 2016-17 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Team. The annual list, which identifies the top players to watch in the KCAC each season, was released Friday by conference officials.
Miller appeared in 27 games, and made 25 start for the 2015-16 Lady Builders. The Wichita, Kan., native averaged 13.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for Southwestern, and helped guide the team to a fourth-place conference finish, and a first-round playoff victory. She scored a career-high 28 points against McPherson, and grabbed 10 rebounds on six difference occasions during the 2015-16 campaign. She enters the 2016-17 season with 480 career points and 258 career rebounds, and is a 46.6 percent shooter from the floor. Miller was recognized for her efforts by being named an NAIA Div. 2 All-America Honorable Mention selection, and was a First Team All-KCAC selection.
Miller and the Lady Builders will open the 2016-17 season on Oct. 29, traveling to Chickasha, Okla., to face the Drovers of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO). Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. inside the USAO Fieldhouse.
