PREVIEWING THE WOMEN'S GAME…

Kansas Wesleyan (17-9, 8-8 KCAC) at Southwestern (10-15, 8-7 KCAC)
Game Notes: Southwestern | Kansas Wesleyan

The Basics…
Southwestern looks to push its current winning streak to five when it hosts Kansas Wesleyan Saturday evening. A win would salvage a season split with the Coyotes after KWU won an 84-58 decision over the Lady Builders on Dec. 12 in Salina. Southwestern has posted a 7-5 record since then, while the Coyotes are 6-6 during that same stretch. The Lady Builders have won each of their last four outings, defeating Sterling (86-70), Saint Mary (67-59), Bethel (66-61), and most-recently defeating Ottawa (78-71) Thursday evening inside Stewart Field House. Kansas Wesleyan, meanwhile, enters Thursday's contest on a two-game streak after falling to Sterling (65-61) and Saint Mary (78-71) over the last week. KWU has dropped four of its last five contests, with its only win during that stretch coming in double-overtime (73-65) at McPherson on Jan. 27. Kansas Wesleyan is 7-6 in true road games this season, while Southwestern is 5-5 inside Stewart Field House this year.

PREVIEWING THE MEN'S GAME…

Kansas Wesleyan (7-18, 5-11 KCAC) at #23 Southwestern (21-4, 12-3 KCAC)
Game Notes: Southwestern | Kansas Wesleyan

The Basics…
Southwestern enters Wednesday's game as winners in 12 of its last 13 contests. Its only blemish during that period was a 66-63 loss at then-No. 15 Tabor on Jan. 9 in Hillsboro. Tabor has since climbed to No. 7 in the most recent NAIA Div. II Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll. The Moundbuilders claimed a 95-90 victory over Ottawa in their most recent outing Thursday evening inside Stewart Field House. The Moundbuilders are 9-1 when playing inside Stewart Field House this season, with its only loss coming in a 72-70 decision to Bethel on Dec. 5. Kansas Wesleyan, meanwhile, has won lost 10 of its last 11 contests, but defeated Sterling (77-66) a week ago in Salina. KWU is desperate for a win for a chance to play in the KCAC Championship tournament, as the Coyotes currently sit in ninth place in the KCAC standings, trailing Oklahoma Wesleyan by one game. Kansas Wesleyan is just 2-10 in road games this year. Southwestern won the last meeting between the two teams, 86-78, on Dec. 12 in Salina.
