WICHITA, Kan. – Southwestern College senior Cameron Clark has been named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. The weekly awards were announced Monday by KCAC officials.
Clark did his thing yet again as the Moundbuilders notched a pair of wins last week. The senior standout scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 77-58 win at Oklahoma Wesleyan, then added 27 points and nine more rebounds in an 88-74 win at McPherson, a game in which Clark shot 63.6 percent from the floor. The three-time NAIA All-America Honorable Mention selection also shot 86.4 percent from the free throw line on the week.
This week's recognition marks the third KCAC Player of the Week honor for Clark this season. He is now eligible for consideration as the NAIA Div. II National Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Southwestern will return to action Wednesday, hosting the Warriors of Sterling College. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. inside historic Stewart Field House.
