WINFIELD, Kan. – The Southwestern College volleyball team saw its two-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of a future Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Saturday afternoon. The Lady Builder dropped a three-set (25-14, 25-22, 25-12) decision to the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles inside historic Stewart Field House.

THE BASICS…
Brittaney Craddock couldn't be stopped, but neither could three different Eagles, who finished with 10 kills each. Oklahoma Wesleyan hit a scorching .404 in the match, and took advantage of 11 service aces in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED…
-Oklahoma Wesleyan (15-6) posted its best offensive set, and Southwestern (4-10) posted its worst offensive set in Saturday's opening frame. The Eagles rode a .520 hitting percentage to 14 kills, while the Lady Builder offense mustered just five kills in the set, and Oklahoma Wesleyan opened the match with a 25-14 first-set win.
-Southwestern made things interesting in the second set. The Lady Builders put down a match-high 14 kills behind a match-high .364 attack percentage, but the Eagles countered with 19 kills and hit .417 while holding off Southwestern for a 25-22 win in the second set.
-Oklahoma Wesleyan closed the match by posting 13 kills behind a .303 attack percentage, while the Lady Builders found just eight kills while hitting .121. The Eagles completed the sweep with a 25-12 win in the third set.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE…
-Brittaney Craddock continued her monster week. After recording 17 kills in Wednesday's win over Bethany, Craddock added 13 kills while hitting .522 in just three sets Saturday afternoon. Craddock was the only Lady Builder to post double-digit kills.
-Craddock also anchored the Lady Builder defense with 10 digs. The junior also added two service aces to her resume.
-Junior Jacqueline Erlanson set a team-best 14 of Southwestern's 25 assists in Saturday's match. Fellow junior Alison Ornbaun added nine assists in the contest.
-Southwestern hit .178 as a team. The Lady Builders put down 27 kills on 90 attempts. Southwestern served six aces, but allowed 11 Eagle aces.

UP NEXT…
Southwestern will travel to Ottawa on Wednesday to face the Lady Braves of Ottawa University for the second time in the KCAC rotation. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Wilson Field House.
