Winfield, Kan.- Senior golfer Raleigh Hughes (Keller, TX) has been named as a NAIA Second Team All-American. Hughes, a multiple All-Conference selection was the only KCAC golfer to be named to the first or second team.
This award caps off an outstanding career for Hughes who grew as a golfer in each of the four seasons he competed. In his senior year, Hughes held a scoring average of 73.16 which placed him in the top 40 in the NAIA. His season best round of 67 to go along with medalist honors at two tournaments made for a standout senior season for Raleigh.
Southwestern finished their golf season at the KCAC conference tournament. Despite not traveling to nationals as a team, the career of Hughes was still rewarded by the All-American committee.
